Fresh Longan Fruit: Euphoria longan
The longan is a very close relative of the lychee and has a unique spicy refreshing flavor.
Longan is in the same family (soap berry) as lychee and is often grown together with lychees and in fact looks very much like a lychee tree. It is more tropical than the lychee and is an extraordinarily popular fruit in southern China and throughout Southeast Asia, Indonesia, India and tropical Asia.
