Even a small lychee tree can set a heavy bloom flush. Unfortunately, a heavy bloom does not always translate into a large quantity of fruit. Attrition from wind, mites and drop can diminish a large bloom to almost nothing. The old adage of "don't count your chickens before they hatch" applys to lychees as well.
