Extensive mulching

This section of the grove has been mulched for nearly two years. It is very clear that all of the trees are growing vigorously without any signs of nutritional deficiencies. Look at some of the earlier pictures of the grove before extensive mulching practices were employed. The difference is very obvious.

This particular section was subjected to seasonal flooding. Many of the trees had their growth stunted because of the standing water problem during the rainy season. Adding two feet of mulch effectively corrected this problem and the results within a year were very dramatic.
