Lycheesonline co-founder Bill Mee has been growing lychees and other tropical fruits for over 25 years. He has extensive experience in landscaping with tropical fruit trees suited for South Florida and particular experience in developing small commercial grove properties.

Over the many years of growing lychee fruit and providing trees to back yard growers we have found that most people want more than just one or two lychee trees. There are many other excellent tropical fruits which do well in our South FLorida climate and it makes sense to have a selection of fruits which come available throughout the 4 tropical Florida growing seasons.

The ideal landscape is the synthesis of flowering trees, shrubs and bedding foliage with edible fruit trees and fruit prodcuing plants. In the small yard there is significant competition for available sunlight and the layout of an integrated edible landscape needs to be carefully planned so that every plant receives adequate illumination and water.

The first step is to determine the types of tropical fruits that you and your family enjoy. We will suggest fruits which we consider to be popular and enjoyed by the widest demographic. There are over 100 types of "edible" tropical fruit trees and plants; however not all of these are "eatable".

We will meet with you and evaluate you yard and assess the available space. Then we will develop a list of your preferred fruit trees and work out a schedule of installation. If the fruit is in season we will pprovide you with samples to taste prior to making any final decision on the inverntory of trees to be planted into your landscape.
